Dartmouth College Take advantage of all the activities on this beautiful Ivy League campus. The White River Junction Hampton Inn is located just 5 miles from Hanover, campus, and its associated graduate schools of medicine, business, and engineering as well as the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Vermont Institute of Natural Science - Nature Center VINS Nature Center in Quechee includes 17 raptor exhibits that house hawks, eagles, vultures, falcons, owls, and ravens. The center also has a nature shop, a classroom, nature trails, and a behind-the-scenes animal support facility. Leading from a trailhead at the raptor exhibits around the 47-acre mixed habitat site to the Ottaquechee River. The trails connect with adjacent State Park trails leading to the Quechee Gorge.

Located just across Route 5 from the hotel, this regional VA Hospital offers complete medical services.

Quechee Gorge Enjoy the view from the bridge over the "grand canyon" of Vermont, then make a stop at a gift, craft, or antique stores or the Simon Pearce Glassworks and renowned restaurant. Killington Ski Area New England's premier ski destination - 7 mountains - 200 trails covering 87 miles - 31 lifts. Killington is also a wonderful spring, summer, or fall destination with golf, tennis, hiking, and biking. Lake Sunapee and Mt. Sunapee In the summer the area features wonderful mountain views, sparkling lakes for swimming, sailing, boating, fishing, and beautiful beaches to enjoy the summer sunshine. Then the winter brings great skiing at the newly renovated Mt. Sunapee Resort.

If you are looking for the classic New England feel, the historic village is just 15 minutes away. Restaurants and shops of all types line the streets of Woodstock, Vermont, described as "The Prettiest Small Town in America" by the Ladies Home Journal. There are wonderful farm scenes, historic inns, and country stores in the surrounding area.
